MIAC Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
Augsburg College junior Nick Ward (Coon Rapids, Minn.) ran an NCAA Provisional Qualifying mark of 6.46 in his first race of the year in the 55 meter dash at UW-Stout's Warren Bowlus Open. Ward finished first out of 43 competitors in the event and his time is currently the top time in the MIAC. Ward also finished third in the long jump with a leap of 6.31.

Saint Mary's University junior Andrew Brueggen (Holmen, Wis.) had a toss of 18.34 in the weight throw that not only won the competition, but is Saint Mary's school record, an automatic qualification to the national championships and is currently tied for the third best throw in Division III this year at UW-Stout's Warren Bowlus Open on Saturday.
MIAC Men's Indoor Field Co-Athlete of the Week
Bethel University junior Jay Quick (Johnston, Iowa) cleared 2.07 meters and won the high jump at the St. Olaf Invitational on Friday. The height is a NCAA provisional qualifying mark and Quick cleared it in his first meet of the season after studying abroad the last month. The 2.07m mark is also tops in the MIAC and third in all of Division III so far in 2010.
